About Kelsey Irene Markey
Kelsey Irene Markey was born in Pennsylvania and is currently based in New York City.
During her undergraduate study and training, she had acquired a Bachelors of the Arts in Performance Arts and a Bachelors of the Arts in Communication from Juniata College in State College, Pennsylvania. She had studied under Director, Professor, Master Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework and Feldenkrais Awareness Teacher Andrew Belser , Assistant Professor, Acting and Vocal Coach Kate Clarke of the University of New Mexico, and trained trapeze and Skinner Release Methods with the Gravity Project. After finishing her undergraduate education, she had moved to Philadelphia and attended Villanova University in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania to study a wide array of disciplines in theatre (Directing, Playwriting,Costume, Prop Design, Movement), specifically developing her craft as a Director , scholastic researcher of the arts and continuing her concentrated focus in Acting. She had obtained a Graduate Masters Certificate in Practical Theatre and had trained under Professor and Director Father David Cregan, and Director, Acting Coach and Head Professor of Directing Harriet Power.
During her summers in New York City, training at The Actors Studio Drama School in New York City, she had studied at both the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
She holds a Masters of the Fine Arts in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School in New York City and had studied under Board Member of the Actors Studio, Actor and Acting Coach Susan Aston, Board Member of the Actors Studio, Actor and Acting Coach Beth Manspeizer, Board Member of the Actors Studio, Actor and Acting Coach Jacqueline Knapp and Dr. Bill Coco for World, European and American Theatre Studies.
